NEW CANAAN - New Canaan Police are warning businesses and homeowners about a fraud scam this morning.

Police say they got complaints from two businesses yesterday about an attempted fraud by a man who said he was an employee of Eversource Energy.

They say the man claimed the businesses were overdue on their bills and their service would be shut off unless they paid immediately.

They say he's also targeting homeowners.
