NEW CANAAN - Crews have been out since last night in New Canaan, preparing for the wintry mix set to fall this weekend.

Public Works crews are clearing snow from storm drains, saying it's a high priority to prevent problems with flooding. Workers say if the streets flood, it could turn to ice when it gets colder at night.

Residents can notify the town if their drains need to be cleared by calling the Department of Public Works.
