A new high school in Bridgeport is set to open. Mayor Bill Finch and Gov. Dannel Malloy helped christen the brand new Fairchild-Wheeler Interdistrict Magnet

BRIDGEPORT - A new high school in Bridgeport is set to open.

Mayor Bill Finch and Gov. Dannel Malloy helped christen the brand new Fairchild-Wheeler Interdistrict Magnet High School.

Construction is almost complete and classes start next Thursday.

School officials say the campus on the Trumbull-Bridgeport line is three high schools in one, each focusing on a different science or technology.
