NORWALK - A new poll from Rasmussen Reports shows the potential Connecticut Senate race between Democrat Richard Blumenthal and Republican Linda McMahon to be a dead heat.

The report released today shows Blumenthal with just a three point lead, a virtual tie once the margin of error is factored in.

The poll comes one day after a New York Times article questioned whether Blumenthal had lied about serving in the Vietnam War. Blumenthal admitted yesterday he had misspoken about his service record on occasion.

The new poll shows Blumenthal leading McMahon 48% to 45%. A similar poll two weeks ago showed Blumenthal with a 13 point lead.
