STAMFORD - A Stamford-based non-profit introduced what it says is a revolutionary program to help the area's youngest homeless residents today.

U.S. Rep.  Jim Himes and Mayor David Martin joined Inspirica in introducing its Early Childhood and Parenting Program for children up to 5 years old.

Inspirica's CEO says early education is incredibly important because homeless children tend to have a high rate of learning and developmental issues that can impact them through their entire school career.

Inspirica also provides temporary and supportive housing as well as educational and career-oriented programs.
