STAMFORD - After a winter plagued by delays and cancellations, Metro-North is facing calls for more openness.

A watchdog group says officials are holding back information about the delay in long-awaited M8 train cars in southwestern Connecticut.

Jim Cameron, of the Connecticut Rail Commuter Council, says the state Department of Transportation told him neither the manufacturer nor the company testing the cars will be at the group's emergency meeting tomorrow night.

The DOT says because it hired the companies, it, and not the individual contractors, will speak at the meeting.
