BRIDGEPORT - A new space that is open in Bridgeport is meant to give young people a safe place to hang out.

The Serenity Garden at Pearl Harbor Street, which opened Sunday, features a garden and an art show. Organizers say they hope to get kids off the street and teach them about art and nature.
