HARTFORD - A day after a New York Times article claimed Senate candidate and state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal lied about serving in the Vietnam war, a full tape of that same speech shows he also referred to serving during the "Vietnam era."
Blumenthal has admitted he misspoke about his service record when he stated he served "during the Vietnam war."
The article appears to have significantly hurt his campaign. A new poll from Rasmussen Reports shows Blumenthal's lead over his two most likely challengers has shrunk since a previous poll taken two weeks ago. VideoWatch News 12 Connecticut LiveTrendingMost-Viewed News 12 Connecticut Articles
