STAMFORD - The defense called a new witness today as it tries to prove that Carlos Trujillo is innocent of killing Greenwich developer Andrew Kissel.

Carlos Trujillo's cousin, Robert Ramirez, took the stand this morning to dispute claims by another cousin, Leonard Trujillo, that Carlos had talked about the murder.

During his testimony, Leonard Trujillo claimed Ramirez encouraged him to go along with Carlos Trujillo's alleged plot to kill Kissel.

Ramirez said that conversation never took place during his testimony.

Jurors will hear closing arguments in the case on Monday.
