NORWALK - Voters across southwestern Connecticut headed to the polls Tuesday to decide several local, state and national races.

The biggest race of the night was between Democrat Dan Malloy and Republican Tom Foley for governor. The race was too close to call late last night and today, Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz said unofficial election results show Malloy defeated Foley by 3,103 votes. Foley has disputed her results and is refusing to concede.

Democrat Richard Blumenthal declared victory in the race for U.S. Senate against Republican Linda McMahon.

Rep. Jim Himes won re-election in the 4th Congressional District race, beating Republican candidate Dan Debicella.
