Non-profit organization holds forum on job opportunities

NORWALK - A Norwalk non-profit organization held a forum today to provide unemployed residents with some hope for better days ahead.

Job search agency The Workplace Inc. held the event at Norwalk Hospital and discussed opportunities that are available in the health care field right now.

While many industries are cutting back, and the state unemployment rate is at 9.3 percent, organizers say the medical field is still growing and hiring.

Experts say the medical field will continue to grow as the baby-boomer population continues to age and rely on the health care system.
