Noose found at WestConn

DANBURY - Officials at Western Connecticut State University are promising students and staff a full investigation after a noose was found on campus.

According to officials, the noose was discovered hanging over the stage at the Ives Concert Park by a cleaning crew.

Some students say they find it hard to believe the noose was placed there with malicious intent and that it may have been a practical joke gone wrong.

The school is also looking into whether this was connected to a burglary at the park two weeks ago.

Danbury police say whoever put the noose there could face a hate crime charge.
