NORWALK - Norwalk officials kicked off a centennial celebration today in honor of the city's 100th anniversary.
The celebration featured an old-fashioned flea market outside the Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum. As shoppers took a stroll through the market, they were also able to take a costumed tour of the mansion.
The Norwalk Preservation Trust also hosted a trolley tour of some of the old routes and stops around town.
Organizers say in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, trolleys tied together the towns that eventually became the city of Norwalk.
