NORWALK - Police have arrested a Norwalk High School freshman for allegedly threatening the lives of the headmaster and a teacher online.

Officials say they were notified of the threats by another student over the weekend.

Police and school officials say they placed extra security at the school today as a precaution.

Authorities say the teenager's father had guns at home, but that they were safely locked away. Police have since confiscated them.

The juvenile's name will not be released.
