NORWALK - A group of Norwalk High School students are participating in a 30-hour fast today to raise money for awareness of the world's hungry.

The teens marched for one mile, from the Norwalk Green to St. Philip's Church, to bring attention to their cause. They say not eating for 30 hours is a small sacrifice to make for children in other countries who die every day from starvation.

The 30-hour famine started in Norwalk in 2004. Since then, the organizers of the event have raise over $100,000 for the world's poorest children.
