NORWALK - Several police officers were on the scene at Norwalk High School today after the school went into lockout mode this morning.

Police say they received a phone call from a school employee around 10:55 a.m. about a loud noise in the area. According to police, the person who called didn't know what the noise was but was concerned it could be dangerous. They say the school went into lockout, which means no one was allowed onto or off of campus

Police say they searched the area and didn't find anything dangerous. The lockout was lifted once police left the building.

According to police, there is construction going on at nearby condominiums and that could have been the noise. They also say there was a large garbage truck in the area emptying dumpsters and perhaps that was what the employee heard.
