WESTPORT - A Norwalk man is behind bars after police say he stole an empty beer keg from a restaurant, put it on his scooter and dragged a Westport police officer who tried to stop him.

Police say Brian Bresnan, 33, stole the keg from the Black Duck Cafe yesterday morning.

When an officer pulled him over for questioning, he allegedly drove away.

Police say the officer grabbed onto the scooter and was dragged a short distance, until the scooter fell over.

They say both men suffered minor injuries.
