NORWALK - The family of Amos Brown Jr., who was shot in the head, told News 12 Connecticut that the 19-year-old was taken off life support Sunday afternoon.

Police say Brown was shot on Friday afternoon while sitting in front of a bodega on Lexington Avenue in Norwalk.

Brown was acquitted of charges that he stabbed a teen to death in 2008.

Brown's family says they believe the shooting was gang-related.
