NORWALK - The owner of a Norwalk liquor store plans to sue Connecticut Light & Power over a construction problem he says is driving customers away.

Mel's Discount Liquor owner Peter Jordanopoulos says business is down 40 percent since the roadwork started. The construction has turned Main Street into a battlefield for his customers, Jordanopoulous says, blowing out tires and ripping out exhaust systems.

Employees of Valencia Luncheonette say construction is also keeping some of their clientele away.

Jordanopoulos tells News 12 that he heard the last paving is supposed to be completed by the end of the month.

CL&P says it has no comment at this time.
