NORWALK - With another round of winter weather set to create icy conditions on Connecticut’s roadways, some residents in Norwalk say they have not yet shoveled out of last Wednesday’s storm.
Residents who do not choose to shovel their walkways could see a $250 fine, per day.
“Often times it might require a follow-up letter explaining the statute and the seriousness of [shoveling],”said Norwalk Police Lt. Paul Resnick. “A property owner is liable if anyone falls and gets hurt."
To file a complaint about snow removal, call the city's customer service center or the Norwalk police non-emergency line.
Snowfall of up to 6 to 10 inches is expected across the state Thursday.
