Norwalk police: 17 cars burglarized, GPS units, valuables taken

NORWALK - Police say that 17 cars were burglarized in just a few hours on Ponus Avenue in Norwalk Monday.

Detectives say an undisclosed number of GPS units and other valuables were taken during the overnight robbery. They say the car owners made it easier for the thieves to gain access by leaving their doors unlocked.

Many residents who spoke with News 12 say they are disturbed and uncomfortable with the neighborhood break-ins.

Anyone with information about the car break-ins is urged to call 203-354-INFO.
