NORWALK - Motorists: it's time to put down your cell phones.

Authorities say distracted driving habits are wreaking havoc on our roads.

Texting or answering a phone call while driving is not only illegal, but can lead to disaster.

Norwalk officials announced a crackdown they hope will curtail distracted drivers.

Along with speeding tickets and registration violations, the local police will be out in force on Tuesday and Wednesday to issue tickets to distracted drivers. Fines will range from over $100 to $400.
