Norwalk police officer recovers from car accident

Norwalk Police say one of their officers is recovering this morning after his police cruiser was hit on the Route 7 connector.

NORWALK - Norwalk police say one of their officers is recovering this morning after his police cruiser was hit on the Route 7 connector.

Police say the officer was pulling off to the shoulder Tuesday afternoon to assist another officer when he was hit by an SUV apparently moving into his lane.

Police say the officer was treated and released from the hospital for neck pain.

They say the other driver was not hurt.
