NORWALK - Norwalk police are investigating a pair of suspicious incidents, including one where they say a man in a van tried to lure an 11-year-old boy.

Police say it happened yesterday morning as the student walked to Roton Middle School, near the intersection of Scribner Avenue and Spicewood Road.

The boy told police the man stopped and offered him a ride to school. Police say the boy was able to run away.

Officials say the other incident involved a man approaching a student to hand him a flyer as he waited for the bus at Rowayton Avenue and Evergreen Terrace.

Roton Middle School sent a letter home notifying parents of the incidents and reminding them to talk to their children about strangers.

Anyone with information is urged to call Norwalk police at 203-854-3111.
