NORWALK - Norwalk police will hold a news conference at 10:30 this morning about the Greenwich woman who was shot during an attempted robbery in a Stop & Shop parking lot.

It happened yesterday afternoon on Connecticut Avenue.

The police chief says the suspect was either trying to rob her or carjack the SUV when they struggled and he shot her in the stomach.

Police say the suspect is a 20 to 30-year-old black man, who is clean-shaven, about 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was allegedly wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and black sneakers during the incident.
