NORWALK - Norwalk police are warning members of the Indian and Pakistani communities to beware of burglars specifically targeting them.

A spokesperson for the Norwalk Gurudwara says four of its members have been targeted by thieves in the past few months.

Members of those communities say they are often targeted because of all of the gold jewelry they wear for cultural reasons.

Police are urging members of the Indian and Pakistani communities to store their gold and cash in bank safe deposit boxes, never at home.
