Norwalk residents helped raise thousands of dollars for two families left homeless after a fire destroyed their home.

Both the Lockwood and Avalos families lived inside the Sheridan Street home that was destroyed Friday morning. Everyone made it out safely except for a dog.

A fundraiser page for each family has been created on the website GoFundMe.com.
