NORWALK - Norwalk's Superintendent of Schools Susan Marks said today that the state has credited her district with making big strides in closing achievements gaps over the past five years.
The superintendent told a group of state and city education officials that mastery tests show scores have steadily increased in reading and math. Marks credits the students? success in part to the hard work of her staff.
Marks says Norwalk schools have also been honored for reducing the achievement gap between Hispanic and Caucasian students.
