Norwalk shooting leaves 1 man wounded

NORWALK - Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Norwalk that sent one man to the hospital.

At around 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the scene near 168 West Cedar St., where they say they found a man in his mid-20s lying face down in the parking lot near Suncrest Village.

Police would not reveal the victim's name, but say he suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his head.

According to investigators, the victim was taken to Norwalk Hospital where he underwent surgery today.

So far, police have no suspects and no motive for the shooting, but they say they are following leads.
