Norwalk stable still picking up pieces after roof collapse

NORWALK - A Norwalk farm says it is still picking up the pieces after heavy winter snow collapsed the roof of its horse riding ring.

Silvermine Farm had a partial roof collapse under 3 feet of snow back in January.

The City of Norwalk has condemned the entire arena and wants the structure to be torn down for safety reasons.

However, the insurance company says it'll only pay for what was actually destroyed by the storm.

After six months of failed negotiations with the insurance company, the owners say they're losing optimism about ever seeing their arena fixed.

Andrea Markosky, who owns the farm with her husband, says they've lost several clients since January.

Markosky says that if the arena isn't fixed in time for the indoor riding season, she's going to have to rent an arena in Westchester.
