NORWALK - The Norwalk store owner accused of selling synthetic marijuana went before a judge today.

Police say they found 221 bags of synthetic marijuana at a store owned by John Thurairaj. According to police, the bags bearing names such as Mr. Happy Potpourri and Scooby Snax were sold at the Family Market in Norwalk. Police say they also found several piles of money.

Thurairaj's attorney maintains the money was from real estate and not from the sale of drugs.

The police report also says investigators found a gun and pornographic videos at the store.

Thurairaj is due back in court at the end of the month.
