STAMFORD - Stamford police say a Norwalk woman is dead following a weekend crash.

Police say Miriam Vega was a passenger inside a SUV that was involved in a crash on Strawberry Hill Avenue Sunday.

Authorities say the crash happened when another car, driven by 20-year-old Jamie Mejia, first hit a tree and then crashed into the SUV.

Police have not said if Mejia will face charges.
