NYPD: Brooklyn Bridge reopened after bomb squad checks out empty vehicle
BROOKLYN - Police say the Brooklyn Bridge has been reopened after authorities searched an unoccupied vehicle.
The vehicle was in the right lane on the Manhattan side of the bridge.
The car was discovered around 5 p.m. and stopped traffic in both directions. Police say the Dodge Durango had no license plates but was discovered to be from Douglassville, Pennsylvania.

There was no word on why the car was abandoned.
