NORWALK - President Barack Obama has called for a federal probe into the reasons behind the astronomical gas prices. The president said he is looking to root out any possible fraud concerning gas prices.

Oil experts across the country have recently said that gas prices could climb to $6 a gallon by the summertime.

The current average price for a gallon of regular gas in Connecticut is $4.10. Just one year ago, the average price across the state was $2.98 a gallon.
