NEW CANAAN - New Canaan police are investigating a serious accident involving one of their own.

They say a motorcycle driven by officer Aaron LaTourette collided with a car on Oenoke Ridge Road yesterday morning.

Police say LaTourette was wearing a helmet.

They say he was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital.
