NEW CANAAN - Downed trees are creating problems in New Canaan. New Canaan Emergency Management Director Michael Handler says 150 roads are still impassable. He says the town's number one priority is to get police, fire and EMS access to all homes. Handler says he's unclear when power restoration will begin. He says the first phase must be making the roads passable and ensuring that wires are safe.Officials say it could be at least one week before power is restored.
