STAMFORD - Officials say two additional wells in Stamford have tested positive for pesticide contamination.
According to the city, two private wells on Northwind and Haviland drives have elevated levels of pesticide dieldrin. A task force was assigned to take care of the problem last month after 29 wells were found to be contaminated.
The new find brings the total number of polluted wells to 31. A meeting will be held on Wednesday to discuss the test results.
