Officials: 400 Milford students out with stomach norovirus

Milford school officials say that half of the Foran High School student body failed to show up today due to the spread of a stomach

MILFORD - Milford school officials say that half of the Foran High School student body failed to show up today due to the spread of a stomach norovirus earlier this week.

After 400 students missed class today, the school sent out a letter to warn parents to keep their children home if they are feeling ill. The letter also says that cases of the virus have spread throughout the district.

Health officials say the virus is unique because of how quickly it spread throughout the school within two days.

Dr. Roberta Lockhart says parents should keep their children hydrated while they stay home and let the virus run its course.

Stomach virus keeps hundreds out of Foran H.S.
