Officials: 5 teens taken to hospital for drinking at weekend dance

GREENWICH - Greenwich officials announced today that five teenagers were taken to the hospital over the weekend for being drunk at a dance at the Arch Street Teen Center.

The teens were taken to the hospital within two hours of each other. Officials say they heard the teens had been drinking out of empty bottles. Two teens were so drunk they had to spend the night at the emergency room.

Town leaders say this isn't the first time something like this has happened at the teen center. The teens have fully recovered.
