EASTON - Authorities say an Easton home destroyed Friday in a fire had been stocked with ammunition and fireworks.

Officials say that little remains of the Judd Road home, and pieces of what appear to be fireworks casings litter the property.

Neighbors say they saw fireworks shoot into the air and heard continuous explosions for 15 to 20 minutes once the fire reached the garage.

The property is said to be registered to Sanford and Ann Cooper. News 12 Connecticut has not been able to contact the owners to ask if they were storing fireworks in the house.
