FAIRFIELD - Officials are investigating a fire that damaged a home in Fairfield.

The fire occurred late last night on Farmstead Hill Road.

Authorities say a couch caught fire, and flames spread throughout the house. Firefighters on the scene said they had to cut holes in the roof to keep the flames from spreading.

No one was hurt in the blaze.
