FRAMINGTON - Officials at the UConn Health Center in Framington say a patient has tested negative for Ebola after showing potential signs of the deadly virus.

According to officials, the patient had been working in Liberia since November and returned to the United States last month.

The patient did not have direct contact with Ebola patients, but reported symptoms including fever and muscle aches Tuesday night.

While the patient does not have Ebola, hospital officials say he does have malaria.
