BRIDGEPORT - Officials are testing the air packs of two Bridgeport firefighters who died after battling a fire Saturday to see if any problems existed.
Lt. Steven Velasquez, 40, and Michel Baik, 49, were killed while battling a three-alarm fire at an Elmwood Avenue home.
The medical examiner has confirmed that Baik died from smoke inhalation, leading many to question whether his gear malfunctioned while inside the burning home.
