BRIDGEPORT - Fire officials are investigating the cause of yesterday's fire in Bridgeport as a possible arson.

At least two residents were taken to the hospital after the fire at 340 Putnam St. One victim, Wilma Edmound, is reportedly in critical condition.

A firefighter was also hospitalized with minor injuries, according to fire officials.

The fire forced more than 50 people from their homes.
