OLD GREENWICH - Old Greenwich officials held a public hearing today on the fate of 12 trees slated to be chopped down due to recent storm damage.CL&P officials, who claim the trees are weak enough to fall during an upcoming weather event, presented their case before the Greenwich tree warden. However, residents who attended the forum say the trees beautify their community and need to stay. The tree warden will decide the future of the trees next week.
