BRIDGEPORT - The vision of a Bridgeport track and field coach has come true thanks to a group of generous strangers.

Sean Astle, the track and field coach at Harding High School, took to the Internet to raise money for new shoes and uniforms for his athletes. Astle started his online campaign in August and raised enough money in only two months' time.

Using the website gofundme.com, Astle says he was encouraged by a friend to rely on public assistance.

Astle has raised more than $4,000 to this point.
