NORWALK - Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating say about 1,000 people in Connecticut do not have power.

CL&P announced last night it completed restoration of power in the hardest hit areas of southwestern Connecticut.

The utility set more than 1,000 poles and replaced more than 2,400 transformers.
