ORANGE - Orange police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Subway sandwich shop last night.

Authorities say the suspect walked through the doors of the restaurant, located at Post Road and Bull Hill Lane, shortly before closing time. He allegedly threatened the store clerk with a knife, demanded money and then fled with an unknown amount of cash.

Investigators say they do not have any suspects yet, but have a fairly accurate description of the man. They say he is a white male between the ages of 35 and 50 with blue eyes and light hair that fits in a ponytail.

Customers who shop and eat in the area say the robbery doesn't make them nervous, but will force them to be more vigilant than usual.

Anyone with information is urged to call 203-891-2130.
