BRIDGEPORT - More than 1,000 residents in Bridgeport are still without power two days after Thursday's tornado.
Some residents say they lost power this morning while crews were trying to fix downed power lines in their neighborhoods.
Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said in a briefing today that although most of the 10,000 people who lost power in the storm have had electricity restored, some homes can expect to be in the dark through the weekend.
Finch also said the city's top priorities are opening streets, restoring power, and helping the more than 100 families whose homes were too damaged to return and find shelter.
The city urges residents who were affected by Thursday's tornado to call this hotline 203-579-3829.
