Oyster fest organizers pray Hanna will avoid CT

NORWALK - ? Organizers of this year?s Norwalk Oyster Festival are hoping and praying Tropical Strom Hanna won?t interfere with upcoming festivities at Veteran?s Park.

As far as anyone can remember, the 31-year-old event was canceled only once. That was in 1999 when heavy rain swamped the park and forced organizers to halt the first day of the festival.

This year, preparations continue as usual since nothing can be done about the weather aside from wait, see what happens and keep all fingers crossed.
